Shelby GT 500 [19 megs]
Last night I was fortunate enough to be invited to a party at a local car museum. This museum is normally filled with all kinds of Shelby Cobra memorabilia but they pulled out all the stops on this one. They brought in many special cars. They also invited Carol Shelby, Jack Sears (Shelby American Team and 1965 F.I.A. World Championship driver), Bob Bondurant (1964 Le Mans GT class winner and 1965 F.I.A. World Championship driver), and Phil Remington (Director of R&D at Shelby American).

Among the cars on hand were 4 of the 6 F.I.A. race winning cars - the Le Mans winning Cobra Daytona Coupe (4 wins); an F.I.A. Cobra Roadster (5 wins); the Ken Miles' USRRC Cobra Roadster and a Le Mans Cobra Roadster (each with 1 F.I.A. win). Also the Daytona winning prototype GT 40 Mk1.

I couldn't get far enough away from a lot of the cars to get the whole car in the picture. The videos are quite large so broadband is recommended. Contact info for the museum...
